VBar creates high-quality tallow for small businesses while supporting local ranch families (not big corporate agriculture). It's a product we feel good about putting the family brand on.

  • Local

    We purchase 100% suet directly from local producers. Beef suet is the highest quality fat-found only around the kidneys and is what keeps the internal organs of cattle warm. The cattle up north experience long, cold winters and produce the highest quality suet.

  • Sustainable

    We vet all our suppliers and only work with ranches who practice low-stress stock handling and sustainable pasture management. The tallow from cows raised in grasslands contains fat soluble Vitamins A, D, E, and K. Some of the ranches we source from have been family friends for generations.

  • Nutrient-Rich

    Slow rendering at low heat retains the delicate nutrients in the fat. These help to retain moisture and repair skin with natural anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties. Our tallow is then triple filtered to provide the purest, nutrient-dense product while limiting odors. You won’t find a better product anywhere.

Great natural product! I am in the sun alot and it gives my skin the moisture it needs. There is no greasy residue or unnatural scent. Lips are never dry and cracked with the lip balm. Huckleberry is my favorite!
